A couple from Florida has been arrested on charges of child neglect following an incident involving their two-year-old son. The child was discovered walking along a busy highway in nothing but a soiled diaper while both parents were unconscious due to drug use in their unsanitary mobile home.
Yajaira Tirado, 28, and Jacob Krueger, 25, were apprehended in Oak Hill on Monday after their son was rescued by concerned motorists traveling along US 1.
In a recent development, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office has released body camera footage depicting the immediate response of deputies to the scene, where they found the young boy safely cradled in the arms of a Good Samaritan who had heroically prevented a potential tragedy involving oncoming traffic.
The video has since gained significant attention on Facebook, accumulating over 232,000 views and counting.
