The Iowa Caucus, which is the initial nominating contest in the Republican presidential primary, is only a few weeks away. At this point, former President Donald Trump is leading the pack of primary contenders and seems to have a strong chance of winning against President Joe Biden in two crucial battleground states.

In the most recent Morning Consult survey, Donald Trump garnered a significant 50% of the votes, indicating a strong level of support. In comparison, Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis secured a distant second place, receiving 18% of the votes. In the realm of technology, Vivek Ramaswamy, a prominent figure in the industry, achieved a notable 13% in comparison to the 11% earned by former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and the mere 2% obtained by former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

The data presents a challenging situation for DeSantis, as he has made significant investments in the state and garnered the support of Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds. The Florida governor's position in his home state has been further complicated by his second place status. In the state of Florida, former President Donald Trump garnered a significant level of support, with 60% of the population expressing their favor towards him. In comparison, the governor of the state received a considerably lower level of support, with only 23% of the population showing their approval.

In the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump has emerged as the leading candidate nationwide, garnering a significant level of support at 60.3%. In the race, DeSantis secured the second position with a vote share of 12.7%, while Haley garnered slightly less support with 12.4%. Ramaswamy achieved a fourth-place position, securing a vote share of 5.0%.
